What is Your Ideal Home Size?

Remember when bigger was better when it came to houses? Well not anymore according to a Relocation.com survey. 48% of buyers think the perfect size home would be between 1,000 - 1,999 sq feet. 12% less then 1,000 sq ft, 10% 3,000 - 4,999 sq ft. and just 2% would want a home over 5,000 square feet. I wonder if that is because the population is aging and they don't want all the upkeep anymore? I know that is the case for me now that I've crossed that magic age line ( can you say 29? ) where I don't want to have all that extra cleaning to do. I guess the McMansion days are over for now and less really is more.
